Bow Loading System

Hose Handling System
	On the platform deck a roller fairlead and a chain stopper are situated together with a twin drum traction winch for mooring purposes. The chain stopper is a hydraulically operated, self-locking type, capable of being released under full design load. A guide roller with a built in load cell and traction winch are placed aft of the chain stopper. The guide roller and a storage reel are located on the forecastle deck.
	The Pusnes <<moment free>> cardan suspension ensures that loads up to 100 tonnes can be handled with only a practical limitation on the angle of the incoming riser/hose, and the bow loading coupler does not transfer bending moments in the riser or hose. To cover the different loading systems, the bow coupler can rotate 45° to port and starboard side, 60° forwards and 45° aft from the ship's vertical axis (stowed position).
